Understanding HIV/AIDS: A Day for Action and Progress

HIV/AIDS has been a part of our global conversation for decades. With December 1st marking the International Day Against HIV/AIDS, I believe it’s time to reframe the narrative. Rather than thinking of it as a day “against HIV/AIDS,” let’s call it what it truly is—a day against the expansion and progress of HIV/AIDS.

My latest Premium Newsletter post takes a closer look at the history of HIV/AIDS, how it spreads, the life-saving measures we now have, and why prevention and education are more crucial than ever. From PrEP to antiretroviral therapy, and the power of knowing your status, we’ve come a long way.

The journey isn’t over, though. Stigma, misinformation, and barriers to healthcare still exist. But with awareness and action, we can make a difference.

Let’s honor this day by committing to education, compassion, and prevention.

Warm Regards,
Raha
